Barbara Heinisch
For Barbara Heinisch (*1944, Rathenow), art has a processual quality. In her works can be found collage-like different working techniques and her thought processes. The Informel initially influenced the work of the artist, but primarily her works can be assigned to Neo-Expressionism.
Heinisch also works in her limited editions with various perspectives, colorfulness and non-colorfulness - this play results in something lively, something process-like in her pictures.
In the 1980s, Barbara Heinisch was part of the neo-expressionist movement of the Neue Wilden, who wanted to redefine painting.
In addition to Heinisch, the Neue Wilden include:
Elvira Bach, J.G. Dokoupil, Horst Gläsker, Leiko Ikemura, Markus Lüpertz, Jörg Immendorff, A.R. Penck, Salomé, Stefan Szczesny, Bernd Zimmer.
