Gerhard Treichel

Photographs of flowers are a focal point of Gerhard Treichel's artistic work. Sometimes Treichel concentrates on one detail of a flower, sometimes he composes lush arrangements. The flowers are often removed from their context and placed horizontally in front of a white background. As there is no distracting background, the flowers appear even more present and their shapes and colors stand out concisely.
