Malene Landgreen (1962) is a famous Danish artist who lives and works between Copenhagen and Berlin.
She studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest. Landgreen’s works are featured in exhibitions around Europe and internationally.
In her works she devotes herself to the material, cognitive and emotional potential of color and space in two-dimensional surfaces, with an unmistakable style! Landgreen’s artworks convincingly present a skillful approach to and a passion for colorful geometric shapes, and despite their strictly mathematical composition her artworks always possess a positive, tidy lightness.
“It’s all about relations and proportions. That applies in art, in architecture and in life. Proportions are crucial, […] they establish harmonies and coherence. They define time and space.” – Malene Landgreen
