Ludwig Gebhard

Ludwig Gebhard (*1933 Tiefenbach - 2007 Landsberg) studied as a master student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. He was a painter, sculptor and has also made a name for himself in the art world, especially as a graphic artist.
His works can be found in the collections of the Albertina in Vienna, the Kupferstichkabinett in Basel and the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, among others.
More than 100 solo exhibitions at home and abroad also brought him significant recognition for his striking colored linocuts: strong, expressive colors clash with strict geometric lines in these works, creating exciting, dynamic works.
