Melanie Richter

Melanie Richter (1964) takes up a succinct, unmistakable artistic position in her works. The artist began her studies at the renowned Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in 1992 and was the recipient of a wide array of grants. Famous throughout Germany, Richter is regularly featured in solo and group exhibitions, including at Düsseldorf’s Museum Kunstpalast.

Her work is devoid of all monotony and technical uniformity, instead presenting sharp color contrasts and an approach to a subject with a zest for experimentation, giving her works on paper a playful expression: everything but classical art!
