Rissa

Rissa - Karin Götz - (*1938, Chemnitz) studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy and later held a professorship there. Her life partner was the artist Karl Otto Götz. In 1977 she was a co-founder of the artist group Axiom, to which Norbert Tadeusz also belonged.
Rissa's works address essential social or socio-cultural motifs, such as religion, sexuality and ethics. The artist's works - be it her paintings or her limited edition graphic works on paper - show a strong engagement with contemporary issues.
