Chuck Elliott

Limited edition art by the British pioneer of digital art Chuck Elliott (* 1967, London) is regarded as a pioneer of digital art in Great Britain. After Apple launched the Apple Macintosh in the UK in 1984, Elliott immediately used the then revolutionary computer and began creating digital art. This was while he was still studying art at Middlesex University/Hornsey School of Art, where he graduated with a master's degree in printmaking. The art scene and the fashion industry soon became aware of his dynamic works and commissions for Prada, Nike and Yohji Yamamoto followed. Characteristics of Chuck Elliott's art and pictures Chuck Elliott combines his expertise in drawing, screen printing and lithography techniques with digital techniques and draws, renders or models his artworks digitally. The artist's pictures are always abstract. Sometimes they are strongly geometric. Other times his works are flowing structures, which the artist himself describes as ‘fluid geometry’. But Chuck Elliott's artworks are always intensely colourful and dynamic - they are studies of the power of colour, light and movement in a picture.
