Unframed, un Groupe Posant Dans une Barque 1930

For his project 'Unframed', JR traced the identity of an entire neighborhood in Marseille in 2013. He invited the residents of La Belle de Mai to reflect on their memories by taking a look at their personal family albums. These photos were cut out, enlarged, and assembled into a monumental collage that now covers one wall of the neighborhood. The result is a work of art that allows personal individual memories to become part of the neighborhood's collective history.

The lithograph is printed with a traditional printing press of Marinoni on white art paper in limited edition with embossing stamp of the printer, signed by JR in the lower right corner (original pencil signature) and numbered in the lower left corner.
