Jan Kolata has designed his new edition in a square format. This format is rather rare in art, but is currently rediscovered by artists and used with pleasure. The square outer format creates a symmetry and thus stands tension to the non-symmetrical forms of the image motif.

For the work Kolata has worked with various screens. They create stencil-like surfaces that are partially superimposed. Therefore, the colors are sometimes lighter, sometimes darker, sometimes they are more matte, sometimes they glow. The result is a work that plays with shapes and color variations - the work has power, but without appearing restless.
