Paintings on canvas and editions on paper The Düsseldorf academy professor brings both drama and calm to his pictorial compositions. Vita and exhibitions Professor Udo Dziersk (*1961, Gelsenkirchen) lives and works in Wuppertal. Dziersk studied free painting at the art academies in Berlin, Karlsruhe and Düsseldorf between 1983 and 1988 under Georg Baselitz, Per Kirkeby and Gerhard Richter, among others, and was a master student of Markus Lüpertz. He has been a professor at the Düsseldorf Art Academy since 2002. He has also been a visiting professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Xi'an in China since 2017. Udo Dziersk's works are regularly presented in solo and group exhibitions, including at: Museum Gelsenkirchen, Neuer Sächsischer Kunstverein Dresden, Akademie-Galerie Düsseldorf, Krefelder Kunstverein, Kunstverein Langenfeld, Cubus Kunsthalle Duisburg, Kunstverein KunstHaus Potsdam, Kokerei Zollverein Essen.
